Privacy Notice

This notice explains how we process personal data, in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, “PDPL”). DRAFT — subject to legal review.
What we collect
Public profile data you choose to publish: display name, plate text, motto, website link, flag, and (for personalised plates) the ownership history by display name or “Private”. Private data: email address, the email address and name you enter for someone you send a plate or gift to (used only to send them the acceptance link and related notices), payment confirmation details from our payment provider (we never see or store full card numbers), and basic technical logs (IP address, browser) for security.
Why (purposes and legal basis)
To provide the leaderboard you purchased (performance of contract); to moderate content and comply with UAE law (legal obligation); to prevent fraud and secure the Service (legitimate interest); to send receipts and moderation notices. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share with
Payment processor (e.g. Stripe), hosting (e.g. Vercel) and database (e.g. Google Firebase) providers, acting as processors. Some may process data outside the UAE; we rely on appropriate safeguards as permitted by the PDPL. Authorities, where required by law.
Launch updates (“Keep me updated”)
If you join our launch list we store your name, email, optional phone/WhatsApp number, your stated interest, language, and the exact consent text with its date and time. We use it only to send Lawha Club launch news and offers you asked for, by email and, if you gave a number, WhatsApp/SMS. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or writing to privacy@lawhaclub.ae; we then delete the record. Kept until you withdraw, or at most 24 months after our last message to you.
Retention
Public profile data while your spot is on the board and up to 12 months after. Transaction records as required by UAE commercial and tax law.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion (subject to legal retention), restriction, objection, and data portability, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Removing your public profile may remove your spot from display; no refund applies. Contact: privacy@lawhaclub.ae [to be confirmed].
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies (e.g. language preference, admin session). No tracking cookies are set without consent.
